My first Podcast
The title is a little sickening, but I heart insects that make me itch and upset.

THE Mrs. Irwin
Here's my la-dee-dah a few days after our nuptials... Some may call it a honeymoon... Our wedding was really quite fantastic. I really contributed quite a bit to the preparations for the wedding. I said "yes, I think that's cute" about 10,000 times. I was incredibly patient with the agonizing choice of invitations (yeah, for the seal-and-send!). And I showed up--which is really the most important part.... At least, it ranks up there in the top five. Higher on the list is probably something like actually committing to the marriage vows. I guess that might be higher... I digress.
Anyway, being married to Jamie is awesome. It's the best and hardest thing I've ever done, and I'd have to say that little in life is more God-like than a solid marriage between two people that love each other like crazy. Here's picture of Jamie and some dude.... oh yeah, that's me.
My teaching partner and I
This is a picture of the infamous Mr. Johnson, the most incredible teaching partner ever... well maybe not ever, but he's pretty awesome... Mr. Johnson technically teaches the English side of World Studies and I teach the History side; however, we try our best to always teach together... we also try not to speak at the same time because that can really confuse the students.

For real!?!
Welcome to the new blog! Here's a little intro to me.
I'm a follower of Jesus who is trying (and many times failing) to live just like he did. I fervently hold to the reality that as a Christian that I can enjoy life to the full, even though life is often difficult.
Also, I am incredibly blessed to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world. Her name is Jamie, and I am one lucky man. How I ever convinced her to marry me, I'll never know, but I ain't complaining.
Professionally, I have the great privilege teach World History, US Government, and US History at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, MO (Go Bruins)!!
Just a first post, more to come.
Grace and Peace,
Mr. Irwin
